Nintendo offering bonus Club Nintendo coins for Wii U Virtual Console downloads this weekend only
I've got mine purchased. Now for the waiting game.
Federal minimum wage is 7.25 per hour, but state to state cost of living usually dictates actually pay rates and of course cost of things and taxes. The dfferences are too great between areas to actually fairly compare. Someone in New York or California for example will probally also think the price is dirt cheap in comparison to candy bars in their state. Under some laws an employer may pay the state minium wage rather than the federal which can be lower. I live in georgia where state minium wage is 5.25 and can get 10 candy bars for that here Regardless of that, I was speaking in reference to competition and value of hard goods, not income..
I'm not an American so I don't have a grasp of how much the average American make, but spoken as a European and a Scandinavian, VC games are dirt cheap. Just to put it into perspective: The price of a NES title on VC is almost equal to that of three candy bars with the candy bars being slightly more expensive than the game.
They ain't cheap. They should be 5 dollars for SNES era, and 2.50 for NES era. That would be just be fair pricing and still not cheap.Keep in mind digital content has no resale value and therefore worthless upon purchase. Many VC titles can be found in hard copy form for lower prices and they carry a resale value. Microsoft offers games from beyond the SNES era for $5 on a regular basis with many sales that drop the prices even lower sometime. I love Nintendo and have all the consoles except Virtual Boy, but they seriously need to get off the high horse once in while. I'd buy all the VC titles if they were priced fairly although I now have most of the hard copy originals, and I have bought my favorites on VC anyways. Still, cheap they are not.
Wait! I updated the story. You only get 20. Not 20 per-game. Just 20. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks. I just made the change.
Just two more days. Two more days and I get my platinum award.
The article is actually wrong. There is a maximum of one game. (20 coins max) "Please note that only one 20-Coin bonus can be applied per customer (regardless of the number of games purchased)."
