Nuketown 2025 confirmed for Black Ops II

7/1/12 1:20pm

Earlier this week, we reported on a rumor about the highly popular Nuketown map making a return in CoD: Black Ops II. We can now say that Activision has confirmed Nuketown 2025 will in fact be a pre-order bonus for all platforms (including Steam), and will be available at “most retailers world-wide.” Oh and if you don’t pre-order the game, you can also download Nuketown 2025 on launch day.

This new map is said to quite similar to the original Nuketown, although this time, it’ll be “re-imagined in a 60s depiction of the 'Model Home of the Future.'"

The CoD team has also gone on the record saying the map is not disc-locked content and it must be downloaded.

So, are you Call of Duty  fans excited about engaging in another round of retro inspired combat?

Disc Locked content could possibly be unlocked via hacks. So by making it downloadable instead they ensure that no one can get it without paying for it.

as much as i do think disc locked content is bs, what is the difference of having it just as downloaded content? (because they both are potentially ready at launch) its basically the same exact thing. (i'm not arguing for locked content, just trying to figure it out)
