Ono may or may not have confirmed a new Darkstalkers at Comic Con
Capcom producer (and all round badass) Yoshinori Ono may not be in the best of health as of late but being the magnificent man that he is, he made his annual Comic Con appearance during the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Panel in full Blanka garb. *Sigh* I wish I was there for that.
During his appearance, Ono said he would not ask the fans in attendance (as he did in previous years) to hold up their hands with their hard earned money proudly clenched, in effort to make Capcom aware that they are willing throw that money down for a new Darkstalkers.
Ono said he wasn’t going to ask them to it this year because they didn’t have to and that the reason why was “not necessarily bad news!" However, he couldn’t go into any further details for fear of getting in “trouble.”
Hmmm. Could this be a confirmation of the new 2.5D Darkstalkers game that was rumored to be in the works since March? Hmmm … I wonder. I wonder.
While Mr. Ono is someone who clearly likes to have fun and make a few jokes while on the job (so much so that he’s become one of the most beloved figures in the industry), he’s not one to deceive his audience. I believe that he very well could be working on a Darkstalkers revival. Or at the very least is on the verge of getting Capcom’s approval.
Or at least I hope so.
Nitsuma was in charge of MvC3, but he was also involved in many titles of the past.
I hope this happens. <3
People don't buy the first version of the game! DON"T!
As soon as this comes out I am pre ordering the hell of out it!
Well, he is a boss character. Is unlimited form being the worst.
Thank you for for this statement, which I agree with. Unfortunately, beginners and people who aren't into the fighting game genre will probably never see comeback mechanics as a bad thing (I hope some of them do see how bad artifializing comebacks can be)
My thoughts, exactly
i'm trying to improve my skills on Valkenhyen myself but hazama is not my cup of tea when i play as him.
i'm more of street fighter fan than blazblue. but when Yoshinori Ono decided to make the super move (a move you can use it by playing good) do half the damage of the ultra move which you can pull it of by sucking in the game, that kinda ruins the fun for many people who are good at the game. and don't tell me it'll help the beginner to have a chance against people who are better than him/her, since fighting genre is about stop whining and train to improve your skill to be better player NOT a finisher move can do more damage when you suck at it.
Hakumen and Ragna mostly. I try myself every once in a while with Hazama and Valkenhyen but I'm not really good with them.
i'm between ragna, jin and noel. who're your characters?
BUREIBURU! Yeah I play that one alot, with actual people and they're really good competition. And we all get beaten by this one guy who's the equivalent of Gary Oak but Blazblue. Or Daigo, I don't know. Who are your characters?
Actually, you know what's an excellent Darkstalkers game that is new and out right now? Skullgirls.
Hey guys, you want an opportunity to show Capcom that you'd buy a new Darkstalkers game? Well then, GOOD NEWS!!! You'll get that EXACT opportunity... about four different times over the next year or so! :D -waits for thunderous applause-
and you want to ruin the only good part of fighting games that comes from capcom, who give us the ultra combo if you suck at the game?
i was alpha 3 expert before fighting game died out. but now i can't even find fight someone who uses skills other than low connection, spam the hell of projectile attacks and quits before he/she loses. now the only fighting game that still rocks is blazblue.
Or putting catnip on your groin and teabagging a horny lion and then, when he's ripping you apart someone tells you ''It's okay, he already had is fun earlier, he's just going to chew a bit''.
Hallelujah to whom speaks the truth! Is silly antics will not distract me from the fact that he dilutes fighting games. I had orange juice, now pure deminiralized mountain water. I know not everyone is a pro at fighting games, if anything I'm awful at them but if that's the problem just lower the difficulty but don't lower the entire game for everyone.
Just like parents who can't keep an eye on their child and have everything censored for everyone. In this case we're forced with training wheels and never to take them off. Yoshiro Ono doesn't care you just did the tour of France, he wants you to keep those training wheels and add others. Ugh, the new Street Fighter games are just too slow, like fighting underwater on the moon. Mind you, not everything needs to be fast, I can take my time but coming from Alpha to this, is just baffling.
Worse then that. If it's anything like their other fighting games to come out recently it will be slow and give you an hyper ultra seismic combo when you loose even a sliver of health because the elder gods know it's not like you can fight back...
