Earlier this week, Capcom let the cat out of bag with the official reveal of the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U versions of Resident Evil: Revelations and to mark the occasion, the company has announced a trio of special Collector’s Editions.
The first comes with the standard collector’s items including a soundtrack CD and BSAA card case, and of course the game itself. This bundle will only set Japanese gamers back 7,490 yen (that’s about $83).
The second option is the fancy “Unveiled Edition”, which is priced at 42,000 yen (roughly $467). Wow. Now that’s a pretty penny! What are the cool items that bring about this hefty price tag? Well, you get the game, the soundtrack, the card case, and Jill Valentine’s watch…and that’s it. Wow. That’s quite a downgrade from Leon’s jacket.
To be fair, the watch is made by US Agency and it’s cool and slick (and it has numbers that glow in the dark, neato!) but it doesn’t appear to be the kind of thing Resident Evil (or BioHazard in this example) fans will pay an additional $384 for, unless they happen to be insanely hardcore collectors. Now Jill’s hat from the first game on the other hand… wouldn’t be worth the $384 either but it’d be a much cooler item, at least in my opinion.
The third option is the “Unveiled Edition” without the card case or soundtrack, and it’ll only cost collectors 39,900 yen ($443). Well, that’s slightly cheaper.
There’s no word on whether or not these collector’s items will leave Japan but I guess we’ll find out before the May 21 launch.
So g1s, would any of you be willing pay up the $467 to get your hands on Jill’s fancy watch?

The Unveiled Edition is pretty sad compared to Dead Space 3 and Tomb Raider's Special Editions...a Watch that can glow in the dark in RE fashion....really? Atleast make that edition $100 bucks since you get one extra item but I digress....wait what!? Capcom misspelled WATCH! with WACTH!?....all ready with the spelling errors? Well the errors did start with Revelaitons so I guess being consistent in continuity is right......BUT HOW CAN YOU MISSPELL WATCH!?
darkhyrulelord
Wow, I can't believe that they spelled it incorrectly. That's just.....sad.

Typos are a commonplace thing. Don't get your panties in a bunch over it.

Common place with you and I, Capcom has done it last year with typos since Revelations on the 3DS...No other company has made spelling mistakes in video games but Capcom since last year
halfHOLYpaladin
I almost wonder if they did that on purpose lol
Odakicity
Well it is a nice watch.

I didn't realise it's a watch. I thought it was a wacth.

Why would someone pay more for the game than they did for the console?
