Pedophile caught by child’s DSi camera
A Nintendo DSi was recently used to convict a sexual predator in the UK of child abuse and put him behind bars for 3 ½ years (it should be life with no parole). The accused was 46 year old John Fisher, who had apparently been abusing this young girl since the age of nine (she is now 11), but hadn’t been caught. The victim “had the presence of mind” to snap a picture when the abuse started one day using the camera on her DSi.
Once the girl showed this picture to her mother, authorities were contacted and Fisher was arrested. Initially Fisher denied the accusations, but after he was confronted with the picture he confessed. This is the reverse situation of when we previously reported a catholic priest using his DS for child pornography. Praise should be given to the victim for her bravery. It is terrible to acknowledge how long this abuse lasted and in the end she still had to save herself. I am just happy to hear that she is now safe.
