Phantasy Star Online 2 Delayed
The launch of Phantasy Star Online 2 for PC has been pushed back to 2012 in order to improve the game and respond to issues and requests made during the Alpha test of the game.
With the Alpha test for the upcoming PC MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2 having wrapped up, the game's producer Satoshi Sakai posted a message on the official site adressing all the fans looking forward to the game. In it, he thanks everyone who has submitted feedback and also announced that the game's official launch will be pushed back to the beginning of 2012. This had to be done in order to respond to requests and criticism issued during the Alpha test of the game and to make it as good as it can be.
While this may sound like bad news at first - especially considering how us Westerners will probably get the game even later now - I'm glad that Sega takes their fans' feedback to heart. We really don't need another Final Fantasy XIV now, do we?

I didn't know they were making a PSO2?! I loved the first one (even offline), but The Old Republic is gonna have most of my gaming time by the time this gets released...

That last line sums up my thoughts perfectly. I'd rather wait a while longer than have a buggy, unfinished crap game. I really hope this game comes to consoles via PSN or XBLA. Phantasy Star games just feel more natural with a controller to me..
