Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale Public Beta begins today

If you've been wanting to try out Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, well now is your chance. Starting today (Oct.16) you'll be able to download the Beta from the PSN store. PS3 players must be apart of PS Plus in order to download the beta, but you can download the Vita beta if you don't have PS Plus. Starting Oct. 23rd players without PS Plus will be able to download the PS3 beta. The beta will end Oct. 30th.
The beta features the following:
- You’ll be able to play as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa, and Fat Princess.
- You’ll be able to play in both the Metropolis and Hades stages.
- You’ll be able to try out four-player online tournaments and 2 v 2 online tournaments. For the 2 v 2 games we’ll be supporting friend invites, so you and a friend can fight another team online.

I want to know why the beta only has the original six characters. I know you don't want to give everything in the beta to entice people to buy the game, but the demo I played at a Sony event on my college campus had all but four characters. I think this game should at least have Drake and Big Daddy, maybe even include Heihachi and Toro. The beta is still fun, but why so few characters?

I prefer the demo I played at eurogamer, since you get to play as all the available characters.

I can't seem to get through a single match without being discontinued. The game is alright but Kratos seems way overpowered. In fact, I noticed most players play as him.

Just played the beta on my Vita. I had lots of fun with it. Will be getting the full game FOR SURE now!

If I didn't know any better the beta features makes it sound like its the E3 demo.
