A plea to the Teams of After Dark
The teams have gone too far. The chat is either filled with people spamming whatever teams they are on or deaththreats.
Remember the 2nd 24 hour live stream? Man that fun. Of course the highlight of the live stream was Mario Party. Jared, Chad, Nick and Sam were amazing. The event was so amazing in fact that Chad, Sam, and Jared decided once in a while, they would play Mario Party After Dark for all of us. Us, being the community we are decided to follow each member AKA the teams.
Now at first, it was fine but things quickly got out of hand which brings me to the purpose of this blog. You see, the teams have gotten out of control. Instead of rooting for members we started to attack them and sometimes people were clever and even I was riffing on Jared and Nick. However not everyone is like that. Some users would send death threats to the crew and even death threats to the love ones of the crew. During MP3, one user told Chad whose wife was mere hours from giving birth to his child that he hoped his wife and child died while she was giving birth. Wishing death upon a single people you do not know is already bad enough but that goes way too far.
Thankfully this behavior isn't that common but that isn't the only problem with the teams. One of the best features of Screwin Around is chatting with other g1s and I would love to do that during After Dark but we can't since most users prefer to spam whatever teams they are on. It is the reason why the slow chat is on. Instead of having fun with each other and talking about the action going on in the game, we believe it is better to constantly tell everyone what team we are on. I won't lie, each After Dark has been getting worse. The only reason I watched last After Dark was because I was drunk.
I simply ask to control yourselves during After Dark. I want to chat with other g1s not be annoyed by them. Thank you.

The fact that some people enter the chat just to send "funny" threats followed by a LOL has taken its toll on me. Changing the color of your name is one needs to show support; not telling some to die.

Wow...I had no clue that people were taking it that far... That's fucked up! just have fun people! Just sit back relax and laugh your ass off. -__-

There's a thin line between trash talking, and straight out being a dick.
Trash talking in the chat, it's ok for the most part, just don't over-do it. But when shit like that threat Chad got starts, it makes you wish you could punch people in the face over the internet. It's people like that that made me lose all hope in mankind. People must remember, that despite seeming otherwise, the After Dark games are for nothing more than fun. There's no reason to go all out and threaten someone's life over a game of Mario Party in which you have absolutely no control over. In any case, there's always the good ol' trusty BANHAMMER.

You got it Kane. I don't usually have a lot to say during After Dark, but when I do have something to say, my filter is on. I don't spam my messages or send death threats. I just enjoy the show. I mean sure I throw in the occasional rib here or there (Denver the Poor Dinosaur), but it should be nothing that'll get on anyone's nerves.
Oh and by the way, we can tell which team your on just by the color of your username. Red is Jared, Green is Chad, Purple is Sam, and not sure about the fourth. Keep that in mind folks.

I'm all in favour of ragging on Sam throughout, but come on? Death Threats to unborn kids?!? There goes my faith in humanity. Unacceptable.

I fully agree, I keep insults to other teams and their members to a minimum, and mine are playful, the only time I get really mad is when fellow team members of team Jared refer to him as the "Rape Master" as he has said multiple times he hates that nickname and of you are going to support him then don't call him what he hates to be called, and when i notice members of other teams insulting the the person their supporting(which I have seen the most from Team Sam). I am their to support Jared, not to insult Sam, Chad, or whoever the guest is, especially not Chad since he is my second favorite.

Insults... cursing.... thats fine but when it comes to death threats then it becomes a different tone. Think before you type! On a side note you guys need to come up with better insults.

that's right we need to stop this!!... everybody join team jared or face the consequences, those are like hugs and cuddles but whit knifes... joke aside its truth chat on MPAD its unreadable, we need to stop spamming!!!

death threats? have g1's really stooped to such a level? that... is just awful
gride555
Get the police involved with the death treats! Online threats are no different than verbal threats and are handled with the same level of urgency. If nothing else, let the g1's know their comments can be tracked, saved and used against them in a court of law. If people know their behavior is subject to consequence, they won't cross that line.
