Pokemon DLC is highly unlikely, developers reveal
With the recent releases of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, many are wondering if Nintendo will follow suite with many games these days and integrate paid downloadable content. However, as it turns out, paying for Pokemon isn’t a concept some of the games’ developers fancy too much.
Pokemon X and Y’s Art director Ken Sugimori and director Tetsuya Watanabe recently discussed the idea of purchasing Pokemon, something which Sugimori and company has been against since the franchise’s early days. Sugimori told 4 Gamer…
But, while some may argue that Nintendo is a company far behind in the downloadable content department, the Art Director did continue on to say that paying additional money for these Pocket Monsters could “ruin the worldview of Pokemon.”
So, while we may never have to purchase Pokemon for now, Sugimoto did mention, however, that if a fun way of distributing Pokemon with real money surfaces, they may think of utilizing it in a future title with each Pokemon costing 100 yen (roughly $1)
But what do you think g1s? Would you be fine paying for Pokemon? Or would it be too much of pay to win? Let me know in the comment section down below!
