Since Nintendo announced it would be launching both Pokemon X and Y and the scaled-down 2DS handheld on the same day (October 12), we all knew at one point or another, The Big N would bundle them together. Well, that day will soon be upon us, this week in fact, as a Target exclusive Pokemon X 2DS bundle and a Toys R Us exclusive Pokemon Y 2DS bundle will be released on Friday for $149.99 each.
This is bound to be a great Christmas present for both younger gamers and long-time Pokemon fans who have been waiting for a cheaper alternative to the standard 3DS. The only downer is the packaged Pokemon X/Y is a pre-loaded digital copy, rather than a boxed one but when you consider this bundle is $20 cheaper than buying both the game and 2DS separately, the lack of a physical copy isn’t so bad.
So Pokefanatics, do you plan on picking up this bundle up for the Holidays?
