Popular Preacher Says Gamers are Stupid

A popular preacher insults both games and gamers...

A friend of mine recently posted this on his Facebook page much to my chagrin. As a lifelong gamer this kind of generalization and condescending attitude towards gamers pisses me off to no end. I am not the type of person to belittle or insult someone's religious beliefs and I would appreciate the same courtesy extended to me and what I want to do with my free time. I am hoping the G1's can watch this and reach out in some sort of medium to give this prick a piece of their mind.

I don't want this to turn into a theological argument because everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but I feel like this guy has crossed the line and is intentionally trying to insult and belittle gamers by calling them selfish lazy quitters. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Oh noooo, he said my hobby is stupid. Of course he'll never actually play a video game for an extended period of time to try and understand why people like them, because he's a preacher. He doesn't do research. He'll express his baseless opinions and people will listen to him, so research isn't necessary.

It's the stereotyping that upsets me...this guy seems to automatically assume that gamers are bad people. How much money did SA and the G1's raise for charity...over 10k in one day? Sure, we can be a-holes sometimes, but we're not drug dealers and murderers and we're not all lazy and selfish. And speaking of charity, a lot of people with debilitating conditions are unable to go out and fight the taliban or whatever, but they can still enjoy life by enjoying a good game. It just pisses me off how we are labeled sometimes by the general public. Dammit, now I'm preaching...

I'm Christian as well, and honestly, I understand the message here is to not let up on the "Biblical fight", but what drives me crazy is guy has conveniently forgotten that there is a need for rest and relaxation, which is what games SHOULD be about. This is like saying reading a book is stupid because you're not contributing anything.

...yeah this guy is pretty much retarded. I say let's move on.

I´m cristian and i found this stupid, no not stupid. REALLY STUPID! Many people in the community i`m in likes video games like Fifa( i know but its something) They have never blaimed games for violence and think as long as you stay fit and social with others, it`s fine. And what does this have to do with war?
