Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series producer, Dave Cox, revealed he recently left Konami after spending the past 17 years with the company.
The announcement was made on Twitter with Cox stating August 29th was his final day at the studio. The official reason given was him wanting to take a small break and go in a new direction for his career.
"After seventeen years I have decided to leave Konami to explore new opportunities. Today is my final day with the company #endofanera"
“So what’s next?” Something I’ve always wanted to do for a long time… Gonna take a break and then tell you all about it! #newchapter”
Besides the Lords of Shadow series (Lords of Shadow, Mirror of Fate, Lords of Shadow 2), Cox was also involved with the development of several games in the Silent Hill series and Suikoden IV during his time at Konami. His first major project at Konami was as the product manager for the UK release of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
