[PSA] Target hacked with over 40 million customers' private information is compromised

12/20/13 5:20pm

Target has officially been hacked and the criminals have stolen the private data of over 40 million customers. If you shopped at an actual physical location between November 27 and December 15, it's very likely that your information was compromised. This includes credit/debit card numbers, expiration dates, CVV codes, and your name.

Ironically and orders placed online were NOT part of this breach, only the brick-and-mortar stores were affected. Target recommends you keep a close eye on your bank accounts and credit reports, although there is no evidence of any stolen cards having been used at this time. Oh and just a reminder, there are only five days left until Christmas. Happy Holiday shopping!
