These are some videos of the pre-launch day versions of the games that became the Resident Evil series. Personally I think some of them look pretty cool (especially the Resident Evil 4), but the sad part is that we will never ever be able to play these games, no matter how much we want to.

Resident Evil 2 had some more changes then the first game, Shinji Mikame (I hope thats right) actually convinced capcom to start over from scratch and take a few characters out.

Resident Evil 3

Originally Code: Veronica was going to be Resident Evil 3, but due to a contract with Sony, the Dreamcast game was changed to the spinoff and "The Great Escape" (was going to be a spinoff) became part of the main series.
