Retro City Rampage arrives on WiiWare next week with some bonus content

2/25/13 10:05pm

Currently available on PSN, XBLA and Steam, Retro City Rampage will finally be making it's way to Nintendo's WiiWare service on February 28. Along with a $10 price tag, the Wii port of the game will come with a little bonus content with the inclusion of ROM City Rampage

Playable through the Retro City Rampage's in-game arcade, ROM City Rampage invites players to “Experience what Retro City Rampage could’ve been like if it were actually released in the 80’s, as a 100% NEW hardware-accurate ROM”

The Wii version will allow players to control PLAYER using any one of the Wii’s many controller options, such options include the Wii mote, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro, or the Gamecube controller. But if you happen to only own a Wii U on ther other hand, you’ll still be able to purchase the game through the new console’s ‘Wii Mode’

However, if you happen to already own Retro City Rampage on PC via Steam, you'll still be able to access Rom City Rampage through a free update which will be released on the same day the game arrives for Nintendo’s console. And, if you have yet to purchase this retro love letter, you can do so now for 50% off, thanks to a Steam Sale which ends on Feb 28, RCR is currently available for a steal of only $7.50.

So g1s what do you think? Does the addition of ROM City Rampage make you want to purchase the Wii version any more? Or do you think it's only making up for the rather late timing? Let me know in the comments below!

since the game has been on development for so long switching the code for it to be on eshop would delay it event more i think. furthermore , more people own a wii than a wii u

I must be one of the few where after I played the demo on PSN, I decided to wait till it arrives on WiiWare for the retro feel. Nice to see they added extra content for the system that gets it last.
