Rockman Online has been cancelled
As you may all suspect in this blog article I am really angry. How Angry am I? I'm Dragon Ball Z Abridged Vegeta ANGRY! To put it simply CAPCOM HAS CANCELLED THE 3RD MEGA MAN GAME IN DEVELOPMENT! This title announced in 2010 was Rockman Online which had kickass Trailers. The decision to cancel the game was decided by both Capcom and Neo Wiz and Neo Wiz announced the news to the Korean Website This Is Game.
Capcom I have to ask one very simple question.....WHY DO YOU HATE THE MEGA MAN FRANCHISE SO MUCH!? Mega Man is the sole reason that helped you become popular in the first place, Rock is your mascot for crying out loud!

Mega Man still has some new good games, and I can always play the numerous older ones.

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to care about this.
This was going to be Korea only MMO, so its not like any of us were going to play it. Also, the game did not look all that great, and the fact it was in development still seemed odd to me.
Is it a bummer the game got canceled? Well yeah, people worked really hard on this and to see their work gone sucks. However, I don't think Megaman is dead. People need to stop saying that
Also, regarding Mega Man being the one game that pushed them to popularity *coughStreetFightercough*

Megaman will come back eventually. Yes, it's aweful to see stuff like this happen, but I have a feeling they're just cleaning their slate. I mean, between the main games, X series, Legends, Battle Network, and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting, Megaman is probably one fo the most over-saturated series on the market. Does that mean these games deserve to be cancelled? No, not really, but the only rationale I can think of is a full on reboot. They want to be able to focus on their Megaman games again as a unified franchise as opposed to 5 or 6 different ones, so I think ti's only a matter of time until we see them announce a new megaman reboot that will hopefully bring some new things to the franchise.

Keep in mind that this is Capcom, the company that makes Street Fighter and all the repeat games in that series routinely. Plus, over-saturation can still make bank, just look at Activision.

Having made 40+ games in this franchise = Capcom hating the franchise?
I wish this generation of gamers would stop acting so delusional. Heck, I wish this generation of gamers would actually let Capcom work on a new IP, instead of asking them to constantly repackage their old franchises.

Wow! And to think that, just the other day I was talking about how Capcom seems to hate Megaman with the fiery intensity of 3 million suns, and how they seem to be made of stupid for not making something they know their customers would really want.
It seems like I was correct, and while not in the least surprising at this point, it is still an awful, awful thing.
