[Rumor] Killzone 4 expected to release on the next PlayStation
Most of us know by now Sony is planning to launch something big on February 20, which will most likely be the announcement of the PlayStation 4. But what does this mean for the PlayStation-exclusive series, Killzone? Well, an undisclosed industry source told Videogamer that the franchise’s next installment will be found on the PS4.
The source said Killzone 4 will be announced alongside side the unveiling of the next PlayStation, as Sony used Killzone 2 when announcing the PlayStation 3. Videogamer also reported the upcoming Killzone will be a launch title for the new console, which many are predicting will become available this holiday season.
Well, it sure seems as though this upcoming meeting has a lot of hype being built up around it, lets just hope it'll be worth the wait. But what do you think g1s? Didn't the third one end with Helgan getting hit with a weapon that killed all biological life on it? I know one big bad guy was teased to still be alive but still.

Who knows where they'll take it, the series is known for wacky plot twists. They killed off a player protagonist and another character in the blink of an eye.

Idk they could place the game in a different setting, the helgast could have inhabited another world like earth did.

I think Killzone 4 would be an excellent launch title. BUT does anyone remember Killzone 2 and how long THAT took to get released on the PS3. But in the end it was a game that really showed off what the PS3 was capable of before anyone else. So I think Killzone is the perfect type of franchise to launch the PS4. One needs a graphically intense game to show off how great the system is. Little Big Planet just isn't the game to show off that feature.

It's a franchise that is well known with Sony so it's a good launch title. I'm still a little confused on their "10 year" PS3 spiel from awhile back. Whatever this announcement is, it'll raise a ton of questions.

I think there going to keep there promise on the 10 year thing, but that's not going to stop them from releasing another console. Most likely they will support the ps3, much like how people where still releasing games and hard ware for the ps2, when the ps3 was already released for a few years. But also expect very little released games on the ps3 when the PS4 is out. Also I'm afraid that what they mean by the ten year plan is that they will support the online service for that amount of time.
