[Rumor] The next Assassin’s Creed game could be set in Brazil
Assassin’s Creed III has only been in stores for a little over a month and rumors about the next possible installment have already begun to surface. For instance, a mysterious Ubisoft survery that suggested a new AC (possibly AC4) with a co-op component was in development, appeared a couple of weeks ago. Today, a new rumor is suggesting the next entry in the series will take place in Brazil.
That would be pretty awesome.
True but that would be around the same time AC 3 is happening sooo it would more like Assassin'sCreed 3:Brazil or some shit like that
It could work on Imperial Brazil, put some obligatory jungle exploration levels and done
As a brazillian fan it could work, but before its goes straight to the dictatorship i really would like to see AC on WW2 or the cold war it maybe a little cliche but it would a lot of fun.
So I've just read the original interview, let me give you a translation of what Bertrand Chaverot said: "The development team already has a lot of ideas on how to build a plot based on a specific brazilian historical time that would fit perfectly with the millennial war between templars and assassins, but so far nothing is decided. "
I happened to have started learning Portuguese two months ago, so that'll be cool.
No big historical importance happend in Brazil?Maybe you forgot one little thing, that is why you prob forgot, what was... oh i remember it was DICTATORSHIP and it lasted for 21 years.I know, i am from Brazil
here's hoping this is true, Brazil has a lot of historical moments which the assassins's cred mythos could benefit. however I would prefer for them to work on this game for more than a year
I think it could happen. True, Brazil perhaps doesn't have as recognised a history as some of the other locations in the series, but I think the potential is there for an adventure. Who knows, maybe it might shift to the future for a change?
Both Reigns happens during the XIX century. It would be an amazing time period to use.
In the 1800's. Dom Pedro I was the first Emperor of Brazil, heading its independence against Portugal, but returned to his home country (meaning: here in Portugal) to take over the throne (as he one of the sons of the last king) in a small civil war between Absolutists (those that advocated total power for the King) and Liberalists (that defended that the powers should be spread across institutions and defended the creation of a Constitution).
It should also be noted that the English snuck their nose in all of this, as it's right after the Napoleonic Invasions and we made a lot of bad deals with them, which resulted in them basically taking all the gold from Brazil to themselves.
I doubt it. Number 1 Brazil doesnt really have any big historical importance and 2 Ubisoft has said that after three they were going to let the AC brand simmer while they tryed other things.
Cool...but when was Don Pedro and Don Petro 2 alive?
I think we are going to see Conner as the main character in the next one
Really? Am i the only one that thinks the next AC game should take place in Norway during the viking era?
interesting, does desmond have some south american in him, or is this another episode of a gringo wrecking shit overseas again?
If I was them, I would take at least a year off from making or releasing a new AC game. Such a great franchise doesn't deserve to fall under the yearly treatment.
Here's hoping to NOT have a Connor trilogy.
