Just three months removed from the release of Assassin’s Creed III, fans of the series are already a buzz about the possibilities of what the next entry in the series might entail. Well, if a recent report from Blistered Thumbs' Taylor Hoyt is correct, we might just know two important details about the next chapter in the Assassin’s Creed saga.
According to BT’s reputable source (who claims to have close ties to the project), the game will be set in the Caribbean and will have a heavy empathizes on naval battles and exploration of the region’s various islands.
The source didn’t say anything else about the project other than the reveal is “right around the corner”, which I assume means E3 since revealing it within the next month or so might be a bit too early.
This oddly goes hand and hand with a previous rumor IGN posted to its Assassin’s Creed 4 wiki
page, which stated the game would have a pirate theme (although a counter-rumor suggested the pirate premise is actually for a piece of unreleased AssCreed III
Pirates….Caribbean….this idea seems vaguely familiar
Of course without any official word from Ubisoft, this is all rumor and speculation but considering how heavily the naval sequences were pushed in Assassin’s Creed III, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the concept expanded in the next installment.
