[Rumor] Prey 2 Cancelled?
Human Head Studios cancelled a showing of the highly anticipated title weeks before GDC and a Netherlands based gaming site claims Bethesda will soon make an announcement about the status of the game.
Editor's Note: Joystiq is now reporting that Bethesda is refusing to comment on the rumor. Is the refusal to comment an indication of truth? For the sake of FPS fans, I sincerely hope not. It seemed Prey 2 was shaping up to be a great game and if it really is canceled, it would be a damn shame.
Prey 2 hasn't been showing its face lately and while there was supposed to be a showing of the title at the recent GDC event, it was inexplicably canceled.
According to PSFocus, a Netherlands-based gaming website, sources within Bethesda have stated that the company will be making an announcement about the game's cancellation sometime next week.
While this is only speculation (for the time being at least), when you consider the recent showing cancellations and that Prey 2 hasn't been shown off since a G4 interview back in August of 2011, there could be some credence to the rumor.

WTF? this better not be true, Prey 2 had SOOOOOO much potential, new character seemed cool, the plot too seemed to be a great mix of sci-fi series like farscape and firefly. I really really really hope this is not true
