[Rumor] PS3 Hitman HD Collection leaked by retailer
It looks like Hitman will be the next franchise to cash in on the HD remake compilation craze or at least according to Italian retailer 16Games it will.
The online store describes this collection as a HD do-over of the previous PC and PS2 compilation The Hitman Triple Pack (which contains Hitman 2, Hitman 3, and Hitman: Blood Money) and lists it as a PS3 exclusive with an October 15 release date and €30, or $37 price tag.
Square Enix and Edios have yet to comment on this product posting, so like many “retail leaks” before it, we’ll be stamping it with the trusty rumor label until we get some kind of official word from the publisher or developer.
Considering the release of Hitman: Absolution will happen only a little over a month after this “release,” its existence is definitely plausible but the October 15 release date is kinda odd. I mean don’t European games usually launch on Fridays? Also, why no Hitman 1?
Regardless, what do you think Hitman fans? Would you be willing to buy these games again (perhaps for the second time), to play them in high definition?

I've always thought of Hitman Contracts as the only weak game in the series. It quite simply failed to live up to the previous two games and felt more like an unnecessary remake than a real sequel. Even though the original Hitman Codename 47 had it's share of faults it's still a great game and somehow they managed to remove that greatness from Hitman Contracts. It was way too dark. An outright depressing experience that mostly changed things that didn't need to be changed and didn't offer any improvements what so ever over Hitman 2 Silent Assassin. Oh well. At least Hitman Blood Money was a fantastic game. Looking forward to Absolution.

I wonder if this is just another fake-HD collection.

I'll have the final verdict when I play it, but so far, out of all of the "HD-collections" I've seen, maybe 2 were actually HD.

God of War and SotC right?

along with Metal gear, Re 4& CV, sly cooper, & prince of persia. The graphics do look a little better(MGS3 for example had a much smoother framerate), but all the devs did was increase the brightness, sharpness, and make the resolution larger. They didn't re-design or re-render the games in HD.

I bought the PS2 collection years back.

"Also, why no Hitman 1?"
Because Hitman 1 was never released on the Ps2
