[Rumor] PS3 Hitman HD Collection leaked by retailer
It looks like Hitman will be the next franchise to cash in on the HD remake compilation craze or at least according to Italian retailer 16Games it will.
The online store describes this collection as a HD do-over of the previous PC and PS2 compilation The Hitman Triple Pack (which contains Hitman 2, Hitman 3, and Hitman: Blood Money) and lists it as a PS3 exclusive with an October 15 release date and €30, or $37 price tag.
Square Enix and Edios have yet to comment on this product posting, so like many “retail leaks” before it, we’ll be stamping it with the trusty rumor label until we get some kind of official word from the publisher or developer.
Considering the release of Hitman: Absolution will happen only a little over a month after this “release,” its existence is definitely plausible but the October 15 release date is kinda odd. I mean don’t European games usually launch on Fridays? Also, why no Hitman 1?
Regardless, what do you think Hitman fans? Would you be willing to buy these games again (perhaps for the second time), to play them in high definition?

Hitman is one game series that I wouldn't want to buy HD remakes of, even though I like it. The games before Blood Money didn't really have good enough mechanics to reward you for discrete and well planned kills. It was often easier to simply run and gun. But to have all the missions from the previous Hitman games remastered with Blood Money's engine (as opposed to only the graphics) would be cool.

You are scored for how well you did, obviously you did the worst score for every level if you run and gun. Earning the Silent assasin rank is no easy task, and you feel very satisfied when you earn it. If you only play through a game once you wouldn't like hitman, its more like tony hawk re playing levels trying to get the best score.

I agree but in my opinion some levels in the early games were just subpar. For example, after I got a disguise without being caught in one level and the guards still recognized me when I walked past them (both without visible weapons and with the standard weapon of the guards) it just put me off from trying to do that level seriously.
It was so unintuitive that they would recognize me with a disguise that I just wanted to move on to the next level. And back then you didn't get a rating for each level (wasn't that for Blood Money or was that just the money system for upgrading weapons? Can't remember).
Unless they update all the games with the Blood Money engine I don't think I'll want to play through the early ones again. Possibly the first just for the nostalgia factor.

Never heard of Hitman. Might give it a shot if this is cheap in the future.

How can you not have heard of hitman? The 2nd game is one of the greatest titles ever made.

I've only played Blood Money, but I loved it and I am definitely interested in this

Blood money was the worst of the 3 listed. Just wait til you play Hitman 2... your mind will explode that game is sooo amazing.
