[Rumor] Ubisoft to reveal an Assassin's Creed 3 Vita spin-off?

Assassin's Creed fans may have more than Assassin's Creed 3 to be excited about. Or at least those who own a PS Vita.

A NeoGAF user by the name (or alias I should say) of ImLibo claims to have recevied the next issue of Game Informer (the one featuring Human Element and Gears of War : Judgement) early and in that issue is a story about an Assassin's Creed 3 spin off for the Vita dubbed Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation

According to ImLibo's summary of the "article," Liberation will take place in New Orleans and the Gulf of Mexico during the end of the French/Indian War and will star a French female assassin of African decent named  Aveline.

The game will also apparently feature a "Vita tailored" multiplayer mode and the ability to explore all of New Orleans without having to load a new area.

Now, I know some of you instantly think that this is fake but a couple of images from the "article" have surfaced on Twitter and they do look pretty legit.

Even with those pictures, without any official word from Ubisoft, we're going to have to label this one a rumor. But if Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation is real, I fully suspect that we'll see it during E3 on Monday.
