[Rumor] Will the Pigs be the heroes in the next Angry Birds?
UK gadget site Pocket-Lint is reporting that the folks over at Rovio are currently working a new sequel to Angry Birds, which like Angry Birds Space, will have a brand new gimmick to freshen things up a bit.
According to the report, this game will feature a complete role-reversal from all of the previous outings, so the Pigs will be the new heroes and the birds themselves will be the new bad guys.
It’s also speculated that the gameplay will basically be the same as the other entries in the series, except this time, it’ll involve a group of various Pigs (with their own special abilities) being flung via a slingshot at the Birds, instead of the other way around.
Since Rovio has yet to confirm this, I’ll keep the rumor label on it for now but if this is indeed real, I’d like to offer this name suggestion:
Pissed Pigs!
But I guess that’s not exactly G rated material…they’re just going to call it Angry Pigs aren’t they?
