[Rumor] Will the Pigs be the heroes in the next Angry Birds?
UK gadget site Pocket-Lint is reporting that the folks over at Rovio are currently working a new sequel to Angry Birds, which like Angry Birds Space, will have a brand new gimmick to freshen things up a bit.
According to the report, this game will feature a complete role-reversal from all of the previous outings, so the Pigs will be the new heroes and the birds themselves will be the new bad guys.
It’s also speculated that the gameplay will basically be the same as the other entries in the series, except this time, it’ll involve a group of various Pigs (with their own special abilities) being flung via a slingshot at the Birds, instead of the other way around.
Since Rovio has yet to confirm this, I’ll keep the rumor label on it for now but if this is indeed real, I’d like to offer this name suggestion:
But I guess that’s not exactly G rated material…they’re just going to call it Angry Pigs aren’t they?
I have a feeling that's what's going to happen.
When I first read the title, I thought of this and saw a lot of potential for the perspective of the new title. But it sounds like you just sling pigs instead of birds. :I.
A game where you have to build structures in real time to protect yourself from Angry Birds? Birds and Pigs working together as pigs fortify defenses while the birds are the offensive and players take turns in this massive civil war between swine and fowl.
...Hey, this is something to brainstorm about.
Stop it Rovio. Bad! No more!
i always felt kinda bad for killing the pigs, i always wanted a pet pig and i love me some fried chick
Plot Twist, you were bad all this time!
I don't think people have the right to complain about a series of games that cost 69p.
The same old, BUT ITH PIG PROTAGONISTS. Definetely a day 1 buy.
This should be an RTS where they have to build structures to survive. Oh, and as for the pig's game: this information was known on Wikipedia for 2 years.
