[Rumor] Xbox Live Marketplace reveals a possible name change for South Park: The Game
It appears that the highly anticipated Obsidian developed (and Matt Stone and Trey Parker penned) RPG South Park: The Game, has a new name.
According to it's page on the Xbox Live Marketplace, the game's subtitle has been changed from the fairly bland The Game to the more interesting The Stick of Truth, which I presume is somehow plot related.
The boxart featured in the listing does look pretty darn legit, but since Obsidian and THQ have yet to confirm this name change, we'll just assume it's possible that Microsoft somehow got the name wrong (as unlikely as that is) and label this one a rumor.
Oh Microsoft. Will you ever learn?
Anyway, what do you think of the new name g1s? Does South Park: The Stick of Truth have a better ring to it than South Park: The Game? I think so.

"South Park: The Game" would have been a bad title since there are so many South Park games, including the recent, crappy Tenorman's Revenge. Stick of Truth sounds fine to me.

"The Stick of Truth"?? That's a pretty lame name...
MINItheFox
Well SOUTH PARK is all about being lame and funny at the same time, so I guess it makes sense? :)
I actually like The Game better

Now if only we can get a name change for The Elder Scrolls Online...

Microsoft probably didn't get the name wrong, the developers probably just recently decided on a proper name for it.
Abominable_Analog
As long as it get's released and it's good, they can call it whatever they want for all I care.
Juggernaut
sounds good for what it is. It's a South Park RPG. And it's a lot better then simply South Park the Game...

Stick of Truth makes it sound more goofy which would work well with(OH MAI GAWD SO MANY W WORDS) this game.
Dr. Wondertainment
....I'm looking for the double entendre.
Seriously? Stick of truth? You couldn't come up with anything better?
