McGunn here with a little teaser for you guys:

I can't give away what will be in the trailer when it's released, but I can finally give a refined final draft of what the game will be.

Gameplay:

The game will have two main modes of play. Or many, depending on how you look at it. The "Real World" will be played as an NES styled Beat'Em'Up, All playable characters will have customizable stats and they will improve and level up as you play. When your chosen character dies, you can spend a credit (credit's act as lives) to have another character pick up where you left off. Pivotal Missions will require you to use all of your characters, so they should all be leveled up accordingly.

In addition to the "Real World", the game will feature a sort of "Video Game Matrix" if you will. Each playable character has their own NES game parody assosiated with them, and a big portion of the game will take place with the characters minds "Jacked In" to these NES game parodies.

In addition to the addition, There will be an arcade where you can win tickets to buy items and power-ups. Tokens are spent to play these arcade games, and tokens can be found hidden in levels, or traded in exchange for lives.

Plot Synopsis:

Craig wakes up one day to find that the ScrewAttack HQ has been invaded by the International Gaming Nazi's. To top it off, they ransacked the Video Game Vault and kidnapped the ScrewAttack Crew. Craig later finds out that the International Gaming Nazi's have been doing similar deeds to other gamers. The ultimate gamers from around the Internets must unite to save gaming culture, and the world. But who is orchestrating the Gaming Nazi's evil deeds? And what is their master plan?
