What Amazon has leaked, Bethesda has confirmed, Skyrim will be getting a premium edition. But it isn’t what you think… Normally one might expect a premium version to contain DLC and wrap-up the game’s various content into one tight package. More often than not these are called Game of the Year editions and have become a staple of the gaming industry as of late. The Skyrim Premium Edition is not that sort of package. Instead, it’s more like an additional collector’s edition.

Right now it has only been confirmed for Europe, but it looks like for 60 Euros you get a copy of the game, a t-shirt, novel called Hell City, and six concept art postcards. The PC version also has a bonus disc that includes “background material, trailers, walkthrough presentations, a 600 page ebook and five songs from the soundtrack.” Despite all this neither Hearthfire, nor Dawnguard are included, despite the DLC being available on most platforms (PS3 is for suckers!). Any European g1s interested? Or is everyone like me and confused as to why this even exists?
