Sonic Generations PC DLC launching via Steam on Boxing Day

12/11/11 6:00pm

Sega announced on its official blog that the Casino Night Zone DLC  for the PC version of Sonic Generations will be launching  via Steam on December 26.

This DLC will be a pinball mini-game based on the classic set of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 levels and  will cost USD $1.59, GBP £0.99, EUR €1.59, AUD $2.99.

Here's a few screens to give you a taste of what the game will look like:

I loves me some pinball, but it's a bit of a disappointment that this DLC is only a pinball mini-game, rather than a new set of levels, especially since the Casino Night Zone is highly popular among  fans (and one of my personal favorites). Oh well. At least it's cheap and this news does give me an excuse to listen to some Pinball Wizard

Casino night was remade on the 3DS version of Generations, but this is pretty weird.

It's already in the game files so I'm glad there's finally a legal way to access it.

Why not just make one of Sonic Spinball's levels into the Pinball game?

But what about the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions? :O

Er, did Casino Night get released on 360/ PS3 without me knowing? I know it was a pre-order/ bonus edition incentive in the UK. And thats a pretty decent price for whats basically a pinball mini game add-on.

I wish for more stages based on the first 3 sonic game on genesis.

Same. It's a pretty tidy business opportunity for them if they want it to be. But it kind of annoys me that presumably now we won't see a proper Casino Night remake. Even if the jazz-band music arrangement is amazing.

The 3DS version has the Casino Night remake.
