Sony looking to bring more IPs to PlayStation thanks to new Third Party Production team
Following Sony’s decision to publish Borderlands 2 for the PlayStation Vita, the company has recently assembled an all new group which aims to do things like that more often, entitled the Third Party Production team.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, the director of the newly formed team, Gio Corsi, which is part of Sony’s Third Party Relations, discussed what his team intends on accomplishing. Corsi revealed his group will be working alongside various publishers with a goal of bringing new IPs, ports and localized products to PlayStation platforms.
However, it won’t be solely up to the team to decide which games make the leap to PlayStation, as Corsi is seeking fan input on which titles you would like to see on PS3, PS4 and Vita. The director can be reached either in the PlayStation Blog comments, or on Twitter @giocorsi.
Sony as of late really looks to be pushing the third party relations, recently releasing a list of 21 companies to bring exclusive content to PlayStation platforms; with studios such as Rockstar, Ubisoft, and SEGA to name a few.
