Sony makes a deal with a top iOS developer to make games for Sony tablets
Does anybody happen to remember when I talked about the Sony tablets? Well, I have some more news on Sony’s answers to the iPad and no, it isn’t a set of release dates or prices or anything like that. It turns out that people who buy these tablets will have more gaming options than just download classic PSOne titles.
French developer Gameloft has revealed that it will be developing games for both the Tablet P and Tablet S devices, with five games currently in development.
These are the five games:
- Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD
- NOVA 2: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance HD
- Spider-Man: Total Mayhem HD
- Real Soccer 2011 HD
- Green Farm HD
Whether or not these games will be available in time for the launch of these devices is unknown at this time.
What do you think g1s? Does the fact that a top iOS developer like Gameloft is making games for these tablets make them more attractive to consumers? Or will the iPad continue its domination?

I have My Xperia Play for my mobile gaming and my Ipad for smupping and stuff.. sooo not going to buy this sadly even when I am a HUGE sucker for Sony... Ipad was expensive enough

As a HUGE iOS gamer and HUGE Gameloft fan, I'm kinda worried that Gameloft's numerous contracts will distract them from giving us the quality games we've been treated to for the past few years. I am happy to see NOVA 2 on that list, though. Everyone should play that mobile masterpiece.

iPad will continue domination. No question about it. It's not like these games have mass audiences that just NEED to play them on a tablet. I get that games on tablets and smartphones can be fun for killing some time, but as focused gaming-devices they do not really succeed. I didn't get my iPhone just so I could play Doodle Jump on it. Though I do tend to play it often because it's just a nice bonus. And since the iPad is the most popular tablet on the market - why should people turn to another tablet just because it has games, the iPad hasn't? Also: have you seen how many apps there are on the app store?!
