Sony's 3D Display Coming in November
When Sony unveiled their 3D Display at this year's E3, it apparently"provoked excitement among PS3 owners". Well, in case you actually are excited for this thing, Sony announced that you'll be able to pick one up come Nov 13th. The $499.99 package will get you the display, one pair of 3D glasses, MotorStorm Apocalypse and an HDMI cable. No remote or wall mounts? Meh.
If you're interested in picking one of these up, Sony has posted quite an exhaustive FAQ on their Playstation Blog. You can check it out here.
So, any g1s planning on getting this?

I am definitely getting this too (Assuming the official Sony import company in Israel actually brings it over with an ok price) and am going to replace my 20'' Xerox monitor with this one and use it for both PC and PS3.
I really don't see any reason to hate on this product, finally - a 3DTV with a decent pricing and great high-end technology to back it up.

I too have this pre-ordered. my only gripe is that I would like a larger display even if sony is marketing to the college dorm or smaller sized gaming areas. this thing is really sweet!

I have the TV pre ordered and cannot wait for its release. I find that this post has a negative tone towards the tv, so without beinging modded ""Well, in case you actually are excited for this thing" - fuck you

I was hyped then and I am hyped now. I think it's a fantastic deal. Most should know if you can't find stolen 3D TV for sale or something like that haha then this is definitely a decent price, and....surely it must come with a remote control! That would be just plain wrong if it didnt. haha

sorry no remote "Does the 3D Display come with a remote for controlling volume or selecting inputs? (via @sonicsam66) No. The display has integrated controls on the back of the panel, but does not include a remote. It does, however, support the new PS3 Remote Control."

I still wish it was bigger. I use a 22 inch-monitor and I couldn't imagine sitting much further away from a 24" display than I am currently sitting. Also, I can get an ASUS 23" screen that comes bundled with nVidia's 3D Vision for $466. Admittedly it's not PS3, but it is 3d and more useful for everyday use .
If Sony were to make a larger-scale display at this price then I'd buy it in an instant. Especially since 32" displays usually run at a $500 minimum

I find the tv is made for easy transporting to friends houses and just being a perfect extra tv great for playing 3D on. I mean its a nice tv without the 3d as it is.

I'm using a 26" mainly so for a 24" I probably wouldn't be moving any further, myself.

I gotta admit. For 500 bucks, that is a pretty good deal.
