Square Enix collaborated with MMA star for Sleeping Dogs
MMA badass Georges St-Pierre helped Square Enix ensure that Sleeping Dogs will kick your teeth in.
Square Enix announced today that they worked with the MMA star to develop upcoming PS3, Xbox 360 and PC title Sleeping Dogs. St-Pierre’s developmental role was the game’s combat and general ideas and input along the way. “Working with Square Enix has been an incredible opportunity. I’m really impressed to see how the hand-to-hand combat in the game is shaping up,” St-Pierre said.
On top of brutal martial arts combat, Sleeping Dogs will feature shoot-outs, street races and environmental attacks like assaulting an enemy with a refrigerator door. Sleeping Dogs, formerly True Crime: Hong Kong, will release on August 14th, 2012.
