Is Square Enix planning Final Fantasy XIII-3?
As we all know, Final Fantasy XIII-2 (or as I like to call it, “The Bane of Jared’s Existence Returns”) will be launching in Japan this December, with a western release following shortly after in January. However, if we are to believe a domain registry filed by Square Enix, a sequel to that game could already be in the works.
Fusible discovered that Corporation Service Company, a registrar that Square has used in the past, registered the domain name www.finalfantasyxiii-3.com earlier this week.
Could Final Fantasy XIII be the first entry in the series to get two direct sequels? Perhaps. But remember that a domain name (while being a valuable clue) isn’t necessarily clear proof that a game is on the way. So, please wait for an official announcement before any of you begin banging your heads on the nearest wall.

I wouldn't wanna know, its probably FFXIII versus or something. Either way, why in hell are these guys trying to push this story arc. It feels like their trying to put a bandage on the game.

Even though I don't want to, I still need to beat Final Fantasy XIII. If XIII-2 actually fixes all of the issues that we had with XIII, then I'll definitely consider buying it. But my major gripe with XIII is the mediocre characters that were portrayed in the game. Kazushige Nojima should have been the main scenario writer and not providing the concept for XIII, and then the game's story could have been a lot more promising as he knows how to make a story unlike Motomu Toriyama. Just give me Final Fantasy Versus XIII as that actually holds more appeal than Toriyama's own games.
