Star Wars: The Old Republic claims the Guinness World Record for largest voice acting project ever

1/8/12 10:40am

Star Wars: The Old Republic is in the record books. Well, the Guinness Book of World Records: Gamer Edition 2012 to be exact.

The game now holds the world record for the "Largest Voice Over Project" ever created. With a cast of over 200 voice actors and over 200,000 lines of spoken dialogue, SWTOR has more voice acting than any other video game or even any animated feature/episode.

Congrats go out to all of the voice actors and writers who have made this win for EA and BioWare possible.

Now is World Record breaking  MMO a gameplay experience worthy of this accomplishment? Why not check out Jared's review to find out?

I disagree, WoW is on the decline and this game has a better chance than any other of dethroning it. I don't think that it will last as long as WoW did or even have the same population that WoW did, but for now it's very good and I trust Bioware to come up with good new content.

Troll on somewhere else please.

=/ ya WoW is on the decline everyone knows that, the game that will trump Swtor is Guild Wars2. its raising the standards bar for mmos on all fronts. only other mmo to do that was WoW o.o next generation of mmo's will be a competition between Guild Wars 2 & Blizzards new MMO with swtor comming up the rear survivng on hardcore starwars & bioware fans

swtor is the last hurrah of the hot-key mmo's, it does it better then any that came b4 it but come the next generation of mmo and it wont stand a chance, it will end up as so many mmos before it, yes it wont die, the hardcore fans wont let it, same thing thats happening with WoW atm

subscription mmos will die out, triple A mmos will be buy to play not pay to play, ether swtor go's buy to play within 2 years or it will dwindle away followed only by the hardcore
