Street Fighter II coming to the Virtual Console with online play
The Capcom related fighting game news continues to roll in, as it was revealed on Capcom Unity yesterday that the Sega Genesis version of Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers has been lauchned on theWii Virtual Console...in Japan! Oh and that there will also be North American and Europen versions but they currently don't have a release date. Oh and here's the kicker, the game will have online play. Cool beans!
Wait a second. This game was on the Genesis? Damn! I wish I knew that when I was kid. And here I thought that the definitive Genesis Street Fighter II was Champion Edition. You learn something new everyday I suppose.

ummm, i've been wondering what is the difference between this and the HD remix besides the HD graphics.

I have to say, I think this version of SFII was the best. I'm pretty pumped for this.

What an incredibly weird choice. Not bad, just weird. I loved this game on Genesis back in the day but to be honest, the Super NES version had better sound and graphics. Also, wouldn't have made a lot more sense to release Super Turbo? Strange...

Yup, love this announcement. Now all Capcom has to do is localize Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright, make Mega Man a downloadable character in MVC3 eventually, and then realize they're idiots for not putting online in Monster Hunter Tri G and then I'll MAYBE respect them...

This is the only good thing Capcom has done lately. Im still pissed at them though.
