Street Fighter X Tekken Could Have Had Microsoft Exclusive Characters

The PlayStation 3 and Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken will have Cole from inFAMOUS and uh... Sony's cat mascots. So why doesn't Microsoft get any exclusive characters? Well, that's because Microsoft turned down the offer. Producer Yoshinori Ono had this to say:

"[...] For the Xbox 360, we were in discussions with [Microsoft] for which character to put in as an exclusive, but we weren't able to decide on a character because of differences in timing and things like that. So unfortunately for Street Fighter X Tekken, only the PlayStation family will be getting the exclusive characters, but it's something we wish could have happened. It's just too bad, basically."

But which characters did they want to be in the game?

"In terms of characters we wish we could have put in the game, Master Chief or Marcus Fenix from Gears of War would have been really cool, but it was just really difficult."

I can only assume he meant it was too difficult to get Microsoft to play along. Phoenix Wright was "too difficult" to put into MvC3, but look how that turned out.

Putting a Halo character into a fighting game couldn't be that difficult. In fact, it's been done before. Spartan-458 was in DOA4 as a hidden character. And Marcus Fenix has been outside of the Gears of War universe before as well since he was an unlockable character in Lost Planet 2.

Which exclusive Microsoft characters do you guys think should have been in Street Fighter X Tekken?

Shoulda gone down the "haha what" path and added Banjo and Kazooie (as one character, of course). I mean, they got their moves back from L.O.G., and Rare hasn't made as much as a peep about Killer Instinct 3 or anything KI related (last I checked). So, why not?

No Master Chief in Street Fighter X Tekken? Awww. It looks like Fulchrum beat you to this Revulsive, but it was only by roughly 20 minutes. As someone who doesn't own a PS3 I like the idea of there being exclusive characters for the 360. If they can get Wright in a fighting game, I think they can get just about anyone.
