Suda 51’s Liberation Maiden will fight for the 3DS eShop on October 25

Last week, Level-5 opened up its black box, which revealed three new games (new outside of Japan and Europe anyway) created by some of Japan’s most decorated game developers. Today Nintendo revealed via the 3DS eShop news ticker that Suda 51’s Liberation Maiden will be the first of those three games to be released and it will be available for download in North America on October 25. 

Details such as the price are unfortunately unknown at this point but I can tell you Liberation Maiden is an arcade shooter, which centers around Shoko Ōzora, a high school girl and mech pilot, who just happens to be the president of Japan and her first act as president is to defend her country from an invading army. 
 
That may sound strange but it’s surprisingly tame for Suda 51 game. 
 
October 25th eh? Well, it looks like I’ll have to get a 3DS eShop card when I pick up Professor Layton and The Miracle Mask on the 28th because I just can resist something so off the wall.
