Kickstarter has given another IP life taking the ideas behind Super Mario Bros. Crossover and turning them into something wonderful. The developer Exploding Rabbit has already reached their goal of $10,000 and that should be enough to create Super Retro Squad.

Complete with "40+ levels that will be spanned across 8 worlds”, unique characters, equipment and character upgrading, and hidden items there will be a lot of game to go around. But there is even more! Since there are 20 more days to go, expect the following milestones to net new rewards:

• $20,000 will get Time Attack modes, leaderboards, and achievements added to the game
• $30,000 will get translation into foreign languages
• $40,000 will earn players access to Eve VII
