Tales of Xillia 2 has been announced
Editor's Note: There's no word of a western release but considering Namco recently filed North American and European trademarks for the original Tales of Xillia, there's a slim chance this sequel could be made available outside of Japan ... someday.
The epic RPG series Tales will be getting its second direct sequel, Tales of Xillia 2 (which takes place 1 year after Xillia's ending).
Xillia 2 will use a "Path System," which will give players the option to choose between different story paths during cutscenes,kinda like those old choose your own adventure books.
It has also been revealed that the main character uses duel guns, duel swords and a hammer in battle. Players will also be able to switch combat styles in a fashion similar to .Hack GU.
Other than that, no details have been given. But there's a trailer, which can be viewed below:
Tales of Xillia 2 will be released in Japan some time during Q4 2012.

The fact that they announce this during E3 and not TGS kind of gives me hope. Like they're trying to raise brand awareness in the west as they plan on selling it here. I can appreciate that the Tales games are REALLY long with a LOT of spoken dialogue to translate and put in, so I don't mind waiting a while. As long as we get them eventually.

More tales game is always a good thing, hopefully namco will bring this and the original to america at some point.

Hopefully Tales of Graces and Tales of the Abyss have sold well enough for them to release Xillia and Xillia 2 in western parts. I'd settle for a Euro release and import that fucker for the region free PS3

FFS namco bandai, stop announcing new tales games on japan only. Why can't get the same love as them ;.;

For some stupid reason like what the creator of the .hack games said Namco Bandai for some strange reason does not like to release their RPGS outside Japan even though the company knows the outside world besides Japan Loves RPGS.

we are still begging for the first one in Europe/america, and they make a second?!
