THQ reveals some new Darksiders II screens, Arena Challenge mode, and New Game Plus details
Editor's Note: I placed those pictures in a gallery.
THQ has released some new screens and details in regards to Darksiders II recently with the announcement of a new Horde-like mode called Arena Challenge Mode and New Game Plus being improved from the first game.
Arena Challenge Mode is essentially a Horde mode for the game with the differences being the limit set to 100 waves and rewards offered after every five waves. The player has the choice of either accepting the reward or continuing to play for bigger rewards which can be used in the single player portion of the game. The catch is once a player continues playing; they lose out on all rewards earned should they die in the challenge mode.
Also revealed was New Game Plus will be returning, but this time vastly improved from the first game. While the first game didn't allow items to be carried over and just gave out boosted stats, this time Darksiders II will allow all items and equipment to be carried over to a new playthrough, the mode itself is also typical of other games that have the same ability where all the enemies become a lot tougher.
THQ provided screen shots showing off the Arena Challenge Mode for the game below with a few more inside the source link.
