THQ's WWE franchise may now be acquired by TakeTwo!
As we all know THQ spin the wheel and landed on Bankrupt. Auctioning off all of their Franchises. One important Franchise that everyone is concerned about if your a gamer or Wrestling fan or both, is the WWE franchise. Especially since last month with the controversy surrounding THQ owing the WWE $45 million . As of yesterday, According to IGN. The WWE Game Franchise will be now sold to TakeTwo, the Parent Company of 2K.
As of right now the terms of the sale are unknown as the details are not finalize yet and negotiations are appear to be taking place outside of THQ's Formal auction process.
Most likely when it finalized, The franchise will go under 2K sports and I'm glad it didn't fall under EA possession. They'd probably butcher it; from CAW feature to the actual physics of the game. It would be like giving your pizza to the Noid. Overall I hope TakeTwo take good care of the license and improve on what THQ done for the Franchise.
If not we will see "VinnyMac" screaming "You're Fired!" at people who are not even his employees. ^_^

I really hope Yukes, the developer that has made the WWE games for so many years is kept on to keep making these games because I'm scared of what another developer would do. At least EA didn't get their hands on the rights to make WWE games because I remember EA MMA, the game sucked, granted the actual fight animation was solid

I honestly thought that WWE would create WWE Games and make their own franchises and acquire indy developers. Hey, it worked with WCW

I'm looking forward to seeing where Take Two (or most likely 2K Sports) takes the WWE franchise now. I mean, look at the hard work they are putting into the NBA 2K series, that alone should get every WWE fan excited for the future!

2K has yet to disappoint me with my favorite game, Borderlands, so I have confidence that they will handle the WWE games well....maybe even better than THQ did.
