It's time for an update to the Top 10 g1s of 2012 Community List. The original deadline was February 1, but has been postponed. So you still have time to submit a list if you're interested. However, there isn't that much time, I'd say at most a week, or so.

When this Community List was announced last month, many showed concern and we understand those concerns. Let me just say this disclaimer: In no way is this list about choosing another “g1 of the Year”. The true intention of this top 10 is to acknowledge those who worked hard and put an excessive amount of effort into making this community a better place. We want to show our gratitude to them and encourage others to continue working hard.

With that in mind, we made some changes to how this list will go down. The biggest change is getting rid of rankings. Instead, each g1 will get just one vote. A person can nominate a maximum number of 10 g1s. The final vote tally will not be revealed.

What if you already submitted a list? No worries, your votes will still count, just the rankings will be ignored. You may also submit a revised list of you wish to do so.

Including comments/reasons is not necessary. If you will/already have, then they will be included in the blog as usual. Introductions are also not needed anymore, they will be disregarded.

To summarize:

- Anyone can submit a list.

- 10 is the maximum number of people a person can nominate.

- Each g1 on a list will receive 1 vote each.

- Comments are optional.

- Introductions are not needed.

- Also, do not vote for yourself.
