TOR is updated to 1.2 with Tauntauns and a free month

4/13/12 3:00pm

BioWare was excited to announce that the patch for Star Wars: The Old Republic is now live and has updated the game to version 1.2. This update includes new options for players which include “Guild Banks, User Interface customization, unifying your armor colors, and late-game crafting”. There will also be new flashpoints and a new planet named Denova.

Besides all this “normal” in-game content, all active subscribers as of Noon yesterday will have a reward in the form of the Legacy Tauntaun Ram Pet. Additionally, all level 50 players as of the aforementioned cut off will be given an additional 30 days on their subscriptions. Why that’s $15 dollars for free!

How many patches offer that these days? Lastly, former players can reactive their accounts and play for free for the next week (April 13 – April 19). To qualify for the pay period, you must have had an active subscription. Head to the blog for more details. Cool Tauntaun pet though, I just hope they don't smell as bad in-game as they do on the inside...

It's still not enough to bring me back. I loved TOR, but it already feels dated :( Combat feels more like playing Pokemon then anything to do with real skill (much like WoW).

Pay £130 for CE, got bored of the Game after about 2 months, and then they give out Tauntaun Ram Pets just because of an active subscription, screw you Bioware.

Indeed! What they really needed to also do is add to the supposed "VIP" thing that CE edition buyers had access to had nothing of interest unless you were an Imperial Agent! I have never regretted anything as much as buying the CE! Not a penny of it has made it worthwhile! Not to mention that at the moment for 1 month sub fee I can get 4 Interplay games on GOG.com! Im going there! Getting my Redneck Rampage on!

Funny enough over the past few days I've been buying and downloading a few GOG games.
