Ubisoft already thinking about a Watch Dogs movie?
Watch Dogs has become one of (if not the) most talked about games from this year’s E3 (and deservedly so) and it appears Ubisoft is preparing itself for a massive hit, as the developer has registered a few domain names for a possible Watch Dogs movie adaptation.
It should be said this is by no means a guarantee that a Watch Dogs movie will be made (the game won’t even be released until next year) and this is likely an effort to secure the names ASAP in the event the game becomes popular enough to justify a movie.
A Watch Dogs movie wouldn’t be such a bad idea with such a great premise but let’s just wait and see how successful the game becomes first.

Actually, I've been expecting this to happen for awhile now. If there's anything the film and video game industries share, its the drive for profitable franchises. So if you're going to build a franchise, why not utilize the two biggest franchise outlets at once? One of them is bound to succeed and help the other, especially if the film is promoted and released as a summer blockbuster. Then it's a no-lose situation. Even freakin Battleship made a huge profit, despite costing 200 million, solely because it of its release. If this works out I expect we'll be seeing a lot more of this.
