Ubisoft is holding ACIII trailer hostage for 1,776,000 Facebook posts
Editor's Note: I went ahead and added the trailer below. Kind of sick that we are all Liking and posting on Facebook for the sole purpose of watching that Redcoat get brutally mudered.
Something I'll agree with Kotaku here...this is kind of depressing, for those that have "Liked" Assassin’s Creed on Facebook before. Now, Ubisoft has decided it was a good idea to lock a new trailer and in order to unlock the Trailer (which is a really bad idea) people on Facebook have to post 1,766,000 times. Yeah, on a full trailer that some have already seen a glimpse of it… this is a dick move Ubisoft.
What do g1s think of this? Do you have the same feelings as I do of this being a dick move?

This is stupid. I have (and many fans) have played every AC up to this point. We've done enough.
Board_games_r_evil
i guess there is a reason for this, i dont think i would go outta my way to 'like' a page to see footage for ACIII since im pretty sure the game will be about pouncing on people and stabbing them in the face, with that being said i guess this is a way to see how many people are actually interested in ur game although there is likely to be a significant margin of error

Wow crybabies, you hate Ubisoft for coming up with a pretty innovative way to get the word out about their game!? Good marketing strategy, Ubisoft. Nicely played.
DespoticNewt
Innovative? You mean something that's been done since someone decided it was a good concept? Bioware's done it, Blizzard's done it, lots of companies have done it. Viral marketing is nothing new.

I meant about about the specific number required... or did you even notice?
DespoticNewt
There is no specific mention of the number of required facebook likes in your post, therefore, I was left to assume that you were talking about the ad campaign itself.
