Universal Studio may create Middle-Earth attraction

Remember the earlier story about a Marvel-themed attraction in Disneyland? The folks over at Universal Studios and Warner Bros. sure have.

Universal is currently discussing the option of bringing The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit to their theme parks. Given the popularity of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (I know I want to go), theme park fans could very likely have the option to visit Middle Earth without booking a flight to New Zealand.

Are any of you g1s excited about visiting the scuzzy hotel in Bree like me? (Or more boring places like Rivendell, Helm's Deep, Minas Tirith, the Mines of Moria, etc.) Let us know in the comments!

This would be amazing. The tour guides would have to dress as characters & all. Unfortunately for the guests that get the Sean Bean lookalike to be the guide, as he will be gone in the first 1/3 of the park :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEhtsgu6bJg

This theme park would write itself. When you enter you start in the Shire and you get a ring (plastic). When you go all the way through the whole park you get to Moria and if you still have the ring then you can exchange it for a small prize and drop it into a volcano. I can't wait to stroll right into Mordor . . .
