Editor's note: I've just received my copy of the soundtrack and noticed that the entire booklet  is both in Japanese and English. Also, Famitsu seems to have mixed something up:  The booklet contains a comment by Yuji Naka and an interview with Masato Nakamura spanning 4 pages, not the other way around.

Yes, more soundtrack goodness incoming. As announced quite a while ago, Japan is getting a compilation of music from the original Genesis titles Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 to celebrate Sonic's 20th anniversary. Now, the official tracklist as well as a packshot have been revealed. Aside from featuring two discs packed to the brim with old-school aural goodness, the soundtrack will also feature a bonus disc with additional music and a booklet with a Yuji Naka interview, a comment by Masato Nakamura (the composer) as well as never-before seen sketches and illustrations of the original Sonic the Hedgehog! Holy crap, that is one hell of a package.

The compilation will release in Japan on Oct 19th and cost ¥3,150  (~$40 US). A Western release hasn't been announced (and probably won't happen), but this thing is definitely worth an import.
