[UPDATE] PSN is about to get kicked in the face by JRPGs

UPDATE: SONY JUST KICKED US IN THE FACE AND NOW THESE GAMES WILL NOT BE COMING!!! "This post incorrectly identified the release of two PSone Classics, Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger. These titles will not be releasing on PSN at this time. We sincerely regret the error."

Some of gaming's greatest JRPGs will be coming to PSN this week and I am so excited!!! They are the PSone versions of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI. While I am still inclined to write Square Enix a letter regarding the lack of a proper update for Final Fantasy VI (since it is the best Final Fantasy), I think this may keep me tied over for a little bit.

While there is no official word on pricing, I would suspect they come in at that $9.99 price point and should be available on Tuesday. Also being a PSone classic means that they are compatible with both PS3 and PSP, so you can have them on you at all times!

Why would anybody want the PSone versions of these games? they probably kept the lag. Nintendo versions are far superior in every way and even though you stated that 6 is the best FF, that's an opinion Sean and you should leave those in the forums. I found that kinda unprofessional (even though I'm an avid 6 fan :D )

If it was a review or something I'd agree with you on the unprofessional nature of declaring favoritism. However, it's a freakin news blurb, you even agree with him so chill out bub.

I didn't mean it in a harsh way. He's new and it helps to have a comment like that once in awhile so he can do a better job. Did I get mad or have a spasm? No way! ^^ just kept it real and like I said, Opinions are a tough cookie (it's what got GameSpot in tons of trouble and I love it here :X)

I already have physical copies of BOTH... Along with 4 & 5 so I'm not gonna get them. However for those of you not lucky enough to have In the FF Anthology & Chronicles collections, i HIGHLY recommend picking them up... They are 2 of the best RPG's you will EVER have the privilege of playing :)
