Wait, Shigeru Miyamoto wants to make an FPS!?

tl;dr

Miyamoto recently sat down to talk with Kotaku, and explained that he would love to do an FPS, if only he had the time.

In a recent interview with the website Kotaku, acclaimed game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, known for making such family friendly IPs as Mario and Zelda, has stated his desire to make a first-person shooter game, much like Call of Duty or Halo.

"I actually do kind of want to make a first-person shooter, but I don't have time."

He goes on to say:

"Rather than necessarily the question of 'What kind of weapon do I have?' in a first person shooter or 'What kind of effect does that have on an enemy?', I think that the structure of a first-person shooter is something that's very interesting, Having that 3D space that in theory you are in and being able to look around and explore that—particularly being able to do that in conjunction with another person—is very interesting."

Miyamoto went on to express his desire to use the Wii U's tablet technology in a FPS game, and how having all of your information on the bottom screen would free up the top screen to focus on gameplay.  Unfortunately, it appears that it won't be happening anytime soon, as Mr. Miyamoto has too much on his plate at the moment. You can read the full story on Kotaku.

Still, it would be nice to see what can happen when a legend like Miyamoto steps out of his normal niche to work on something new.  I think it would be in Nintendo's favor to clear up some of his schedule to give him time to work on an FPS. Perhaps a new Metroid after the abysmal Other M game.  What do you think g1s?

TechCrunch has a rundown on how Google pulled off the stunt. Despite the physical risk to the athletes, the company needed to pull a few strings in order to make moncler online the demo happen. One of them was to negotiate with FAA offices in Oakland, San Jose and Washington so that the zeppelin could release its cargo.According to the moncler outlet report, the airspace 4,000 above San Francisco is classified as Class B airspace. That means pilots need permission to fly in that zone, yet clearance is easy and moncler routinely obtained by simply talking to air traffic control. The problem was that zeppelin airships are not allowed to open a door during flight. To make the Google moncler coats demonstration happen, the FAA had to add new rules to the operating manual for zeppelins so the skydivers could open the door and take a flying leap. http://www.monclercoatsoutletonline.net/

It'd be cool, because I'm sure it wouldn't be a simple arcade shooter, or even deathmatch online type. It'd probably be relatively original, which I really want to see in an FPS.

That'd be awesome. A new ip from Nintendo that's an FPS. Something a little bit like Call of Duty or Halo but with some really cool unique features. That could be a new series from Nintendo. Imagine if that got as popular as Call of Duty and Battlefield!

As long as it has the same quality of normal Nintendo games I think the idea could have potential.
