Since its reveal trailer made its grand debut during Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, Watch Dogs has been one of the most talked about games of the entire show, due to both its interesting premise of an Internet dependant world being terrorized by hackers and its clever viral marketing campaign on the showroom floor.

For those of you who are curious about a possible launch date for this high-tech thrill-ride, the developers revealed on the game’s official Twitter page that gamers can expect to see it in stores for PC and consoles sometime in 2013.  

There was a bit of jibba jabba about the possibility of this being a next-gen console game, but when you consider that with the obvious exception of the Wii U, the next console generation hasn’t so much as been teased yet, I don’t see that as being very likely. But you never know.

Next-gen launch game or not, Watch Dogs  is definitely poised to be something special and we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes on it while it’s in its developmental stages.
